And just to make this day super special, Turbo Lister, the program I use for all of my listings in eBay, which holds all of my templates and eBay items, has just opened with the absolutely terrifying message, "Welcome to Turbo Lister. Would you like to start a new account?"

I did have a backup (thank goodness), but it's five days out of date, which means that all of the work I did over the last two days (I'm trying to set up scheduled auctions to start before I come back, and I can't list them until tomorrow night because they will allow you to schedule them, at max, three weeks in advance) is gone and I'll have to start over.

Uh oh! Good thing for backups. Hey, I've been meaning to ask you about eBay and doing Power Seller stuff -- not sure if that's what you do. But I'm interested in how that all works. Is this Turbo lister part of the process?

I just was classified as a Power Seller...there are different levels, and the lowest means you have done $1,000 per month for three months straight, and that you have a consistently high feedback rating.

Turbo lister is a program you can download to help you manage things. It's become indispensable to me, because it means I edit everything offline and then use it to synch up to eBay and upload it all. It's made my life a lot easier, especially because there are a few listings I list over and over again.

I used to do everything through eBay, and at first it took FIVE screens per item. Then they streamlined it a little, and that took TWO screens per item. Turbo Lister is much easier. I really like its simple interface, and (up until now) I've had no problems whatsoever.

Ahh, ok. Thanks for explaining some of that. I'm still at the point right now where I'm trying to figure out what I want to sell. So, I guess I can't be a Power Seller - yet. How long did it take you to build up to that point ? (if you don't mind me asking you can take it to email or YIM if you want.)

Where does one get Turbo lister? I was thinking if I start small on eBay it might be a nifty program to use. Your mentioning that you had 5 screens per item. Oye. That's a lot of duplicate work.

Yep. I got the CDL icon from seaislewitch. Now I can market CDLs and spread the word throughout LJ. Mwoahahahaha!
