I'm finishing the SnuSa, working on the last thousand words or so, and as always, it's a combination of exhilaration and inadequacy. No matter what I do, those two moods dominate my writing frame of mind. I read it and I hate it; I read it and I love it; there isn't much room in between.

I will be so happy to have this finished and turned in. I'm driving myself crazy.

Thank goodness my extremely informal beta (not my official beta) is very much liking it so far, and he's a very good barometer.

hahahaahaha! I'm the same way! I sent mine off awhile back, and after the relief faded, I've been seesawing between 'wow, I'm actually proud of this!' to 'OMG this is total DRECK!' I'm currently in a 'dreck' mode. ;-)

I so totally understand--right now I suddenly came up with a great device, and it's coming together with a snap (and will save me a lot of boring descriptive writing, and at least 1000 words) and I'm all excited--but the pendulum will soon swing to dreck! dreck! dreck! aaaairghiwerohy!!!

Man, just run with it. I didn't even read mine before I sent it to my betas, I figured they'd catch the really bad stuff. It was half a day b4 I could stand to look at the thing. Later tho I was able to read through it and catch some things without hating it.

I'm just clawing my way through. I'm moving forward as quickly as possible; I'm just crossing my fingers that I haven't made any really crazy errors. eep!

I've learned not to trust my opinion of my own work until at least a year after writing it. :)

Heh--that's interesting.

After a year, though, I find that I have the Music of the Spheres reaction, and then it goes right back into gnashing of teeth if I reread it again. *grins*

Haha! Some things I really hate when I reread them a year later. I can't reread my first Snupin Santa fic without cringing, for instance. Other things I like much better than when I wrote them. Eh well. :)

I just look at my 2005 Smutmas story and cringe, I swear! It was so short. :(

What is a "SnuSna"? I mean, I know, but why "SnuSna"?

I was perplexed by the abbreviation at first, but it seems like all of the cool Snupiners are saying it, so I've fallen in as well. heh.
