Grrr, UPS!

I ordered something from Zappo's, and usually they're crazy quick. So I was surprised when there was no sticky note from UPS yesterday telling me that my package was at the office.

I just checked the tracking number--it's listed as "1st attempt failed, will try 2nd attempt tomorrow."

I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX. THERE SHOULD BE NO 2ND ATTEMPT AT ALL--IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT AT THE OFFICE AFTER THE 1ST ATTEMPT. AND WHERE IS MY STICKY NOTE?

I swear, if I have to go pick up that stupid package at UPS parcel pickup at this time of year, I will be sorely vexed.

I had this problem all the time at my apartment. UPS and USPS never had a problem, but my god FedEx had to have it explained to them twice before I got my package. DHL was always hit or miss depending on the driver that particular day. I feel your pain. :-(

It's just during the holidays that this happens--when UPS has temp drivers. Normally, their regular driver has no problems leaving it at the office. Sometimes I think he doesn't even bother checking our door first, lol.

You should leave a note on your door plainly stating "LEAVE PACKAGE AT OFFICE" with the office suite number written. Otherwise the UPS guy might just dump the package in front of your door or leave it with another one of the neighbors. They get crazy this time of year.

I thought of it, too--after I had driven away. *headdesk*

Fortunately, they left it at the office. But now I see that I have to go pick something up at the post office. Argh!
