Grrr, UPS!

valis2I ordered something from Zappo's, and usually they're crazy quick. So I was surprised when there was no sticky note from UPS yesterday telling me that my package was at the office.
I just checked the tracking number--it's listed as "1st attempt failed, will try 2nd attempt tomorrow."
I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT COMPLEX. THERE SHOULD BE NO 2ND ATTEMPT AT ALL--IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT AT THE OFFICE AFTER THE 1ST ATTEMPT. AND WHERE IS MY STICKY NOTE?
I swear, if I have to go pick up that stupid package at UPS parcel pickup at this time of year, I will be sorely vexed.
