Today one of our servers went down. (It would be awesome if the receptionist would say which one, because we have different servers for different purposes, but I digress.)

We had a little holiday meeting where holiday cards were passed out. One of the IT guys walked up and said that a virus had attacked the server, and that they had "given it antibiotics" and it should be fine soon. Yuk yuk yuk.

Someone turned to him and said,"You should be giving it antiviral medication, not antibiotics."

Ah, the joys of working with nurses.

I get a lot of that in my doctor-based workplace too. The surgery practice device catalogue never gets old; lots of "I need a new prostate" and comments like that. :-)

I really love working with them--I always feel "safe." I mean, if anyone ever injured themselves, they'd be surrounded by people who know what to do, lol.
