Someone on fanficrants mentioned this, which is a rather funny fandom version of Deep Thoughts (from SNL). My favorite line is the one about the soldering iron. It is multi-fandom, but that doesn't matter, it's still fairly amusing.

That may have been one of the funniest things I've ever read. Seriously I laughed myself to a near hernia.

We tend to scorn and laugh at those who write really awful fan fiction. But we can't murder them, and this is what annoys me.

Amen. The bit about leaving a pumpkin head with a knife in it on the offending writer's doorstep was another.

Fanfic writers need encouragement. If somebody writes a good story, tell them it was a one-time fluke. That way they get a good feeling, like luck was really on their side that time.

That one made me laugh out loud.

Oh, yes, I agree, the pumpkin idea was just so wrong and funny.
