Dear Brain:

Yes, it's lovely that you've re-immersed yourself in the tLS world and that you're thinking of Sarah. Gives me hope that I might actually churn out some pages very soon. And thanks so much for the lovely gift of a dark, nasty, short Snupin fic, which I hope to also commit to paper.

But WTF?!! Where did this children's book come from? This vivid, fascinating, totally intriguing Intermediates novel?

Please to be putting it back for later. I have too much in my head already!

I have about five to ten ideas a day. 50% of them are immediately dismissed due to general silliness or doubts that they would make a good story. Another 49% are thought-provoking, and I think, I should remember these, they might be a good story in the future, but then I immediately forget them.

And then there's that last 1%--the ideas that are so delicious to me that I do remember them, and hope that one day they'll take form.

The children's book would be in the Magical Realism tradition, and based on a city like New York. And I so totally should not be writing it right now, which makes me want to write it even more. argh!!
