Change of hair

So, random stuff for today. My sister let me know that I had left my phone in my desk. This was the first time in four years that I took my phone out of my bag and put it someplace else, which is why I hadn't remembered it. Thank goodness, because I was feeling very guilty while thinking my poor phone was in some pile of slush.

Went and got a haircut today. I have not had a real haircut since 1989. I had a trim in 1993, but it was just a half-inch. So I thought it was time to do something new. So I had nine inches cut off and got a perm.

For those of you who haven't met me, I definitely have Mary Sue hair. It is long, brown, with two slight honey-blonde streaks in the front. No lie. I told you it was Mary Sue hair. There are pictures under the cut. Keep in mind that the other picture was taken only minutes ago, and that this is much curlier than it will be after I have washed it in another couple days. So far, I'm kind of excited. Please forgive the quality of the pics though.

Can't remember what else I was going to mention, so I'll post another entry later tonight when I do remember.

It really does feel weird to make this change. My hair is curly now. I feel strange.

I almost feel like I should have had more cut off, but I'll have to wait and see what it looks like after the washing and relaxing.

I hope it will end up looking happy in the end. Right now it looks ultra-curly and rigid, but I know it'll soften soon and look more romantic. I hope.

Aww, thanks! I've been wearing it up for years, but I thought, hey, if it looks nice, I can wear it down more often. Hence the perm.

Wow, I think it looks great! See, this is the kind of hair I'm jealous of, lol! I could never grow mine that long as it just gets too frizzy and huge. The longest I've ever grown it is just past my shoulders. You'll have to post another pic after you've washed it, so we can see the results.

I have never used styling products before, so I'm still learning how to make it look nice. I think I'll try more goop tomorrow...it's too staticky too take a picture right now.

Yes, the cell phone was a fairly panicky moment. Glad it showed up. I love it so...it is quite awesome...3 hrs talktime...3-5 days standby...and it's built tough. It's four years old, sturdy, awesome.

I'm not looking forward to the day when I have to turn it in for a flip phone just because I know the battery power will not be so strong and I'm certain I'll break it easy.

I have short black hair myself. My hair is curly, but not the frizzy type or yours, mine is more wavy. I don't know how to describe it in English, my lack of "hairy vocabulary" is appalling.

It is a lot less curly now that I've washed it...I'll have to put another picture up at some point.
