First of all, Semagic works with GreatestJournal, which rocks my socks. When you get to the login screen, you just go up and change the server connection to greatestjournal.

Secondly, this was on lj_nifty: I am such a cute little program, squee. It's a program that, once you put in your own LJ handle, pulls up your friendslist. Then you click on one name or more than one name and it shows which friends you have in common. It'll be great for some night when I'm bored and want to run around on a friending spree. Though at this moment I definitely have a handle on the list and don't want it to get out of control. It's a fun little toy, though.

I think everyone has their own friending strategies. I watch out for comments in communities. If I see someone's comment or entry several times, and they see amusing, then I check out their LJ. I look to see if we have friends in common, or to see if they have a huge flist (sometimes I'd rather friend people with smaller flists because it's more...er...cozy, I guess). I scroll through the last twenty-thirty entries and look for at least one interesting entry or a unique perspective. After all of those trials I friend. Whew!
