My ballot is signed, sealed, and will be delivered to the post office tomorrow. *breathes a sigh of relief*

I wish I had an off button for political ads for the next month. *sighs*

Mine too! I was going to mail it today, but packing up book orders took too long, and hurrying to the post office, at rush hour, in the pouring rain, is not a good idea.

I finally had to put a "No soliciting, no political canvassers" sign across the porch steps--I'm getting at least one person a day ringing my doorbell and trying to get me to vote either way (mostly for Obama, though). Yesterday I had five. Hence the sign.

And I've had three people come by collecting funds for the Democratic Party in the last week, so either there's a problem with coordinating their volunteers, or they're just being dumb and annoying in their persistence. [headdesk]

Nobody else I know has been getting bombarded like this, so I assume it's just one of the (admittedly small) prices I pay for living in a student-dominated neighborhood.

hee!! I should have known that you would use an absentee ballot as well...*grins*

I'm so lucky--nobody bothers with our apartment complex. However, the mail? Ugh. And the TV. Can't stop the ads!

I'm still wishing I had a cool kelp skirt, btw.

I think there is probably confusion with the lists they are using. I did phonebanking for the Obama campaign a couple weeks ago, and I overheard quite a bit of discussion about overlap on their lists, causing people to get called or visited multiple times. The campaign is obviously concerned about it, because the last thing you want to do is annoy someone who might be considering voting for you, but I doubt the problem will be sorted any time before election day, or....ever, probably.
