My civic duty is done.
Oct. 6th, 2008 06:52 pmMy ballot is signed, sealed, and will be delivered to the post office tomorrow. *breathes a sigh of relief*
I wish I had an off button for political ads for the next month. *sighs*

Date: 2008-10-07 01:02 am (UTC)I finally had to put a "No soliciting, no political canvassers" sign across the porch steps--I'm getting at least one person a day ringing my doorbell and trying to get me to vote either way (mostly for Obama, though). Yesterday I had five. Hence the sign.
And I've had three people come by collecting funds for the Democratic Party in the last week, so either there's a problem with coordinating their volunteers, or they're just being dumb and annoying in their persistence. [headdesk]
Nobody else I know has been getting bombarded like this, so I assume it's just one of the (admittedly small) prices I pay for living in a student-dominated neighborhood.

I'm so lucky--nobody bothers with our apartment complex. However, the mail? Ugh. And the TV. Can't stop the ads!
I'm still wishing I had a cool kelp skirt, btw.
