Wow--the flist was really swamped with political news. There was one day where, in the course of ten hours, I had 120 new entries to go through.

I've been taking shelter under Riptide episodes, glutting myself on the pretty men, and making lots and lots of icons. I'm crap at it but it's fun.

I still need to type up my fun with [livejournal.com profile] lady_branwyn in Columbus, but I can't find the cable to transfer pics from my phone to my computer.

Had a big shock today. I am now covered by a health insurance company, and they require testing each year for things like nicotine, blood sugar fasting level, etc. So I received the results in the mail, and I nearly fell over in surprise. My cholesterol level is 147. *blinks* (LDL: 85, HDL: 37.) I mean, some of you have been out to eat with me, can you imagine this at all? I was expecting 275, to be honest. Still, my BMI was horrible, so there you go.

I'm feeling very meh, though, overall. The insomnia has me in its ruthless grip, and I have a headache from sleep-deprivation.

Also, I am taking down pictures and boxing books, and I feel very weird indeed about this move. I feel both good and weird and bad. I'm very frightened about money. I will be in Chicago on Sunday for a show, and I don't foresee anything good happening from it.

At least tomorrow I will have a seven-hour drive where I will think about h/c scenarios non-stop. That's something nice to look forward to.

:: hugs ::

I'm sorry to hear about the sleep deprivation/insomnia and related headaches. I've been through some of that myself, and definitely sympathize.

Hope you'll be feeling better soon.

Also, the scary money issues and big financial step of buying the house -- this will probably sound lame, but if you hang in there, your ideas of how much is "a lot of money" will gradually switch.

If you don't have a budget, having your weekly/monthly reds and blacks down on paper can be very reassuring.

Riptide just keeps distracting me, lol! How can I sleep with such pretty out there? heh.

Yes, I'm definitely hoping so. I am pretty worried about it, though I know that everyone who buys a house goes through this same thing...
