• [KITT and KARR had] driven around for a few hours, two sleek black cars playing tag as they raced down the highway, dodging in and out of lanes, narrowly missing the other vehicles on the road. They'd swooped down side roads where traffic was minimal, the AIs taking the opportunity to accelerate their speeds as they jostled for position. Kitt had even, during one long clear stretch when Karr had held the lead, launched himself into the air to soar over his brother's dark form. Yes, they're playing leapfrog. LOL.


• Nick leaned back against the warm surface of the Stealth, his legs comfortably sprawled out before him on the hood. His hands were linked, resting heavily against his toned stomach, every muscle relaxed and loose. Yes, whenever I lean on my car, I go for the hood first and just lie down spread-eagle on it. The bumper is so passé.


• The Legion of Doom, an unholy alliance between TKR’s four most lethal enemies was defeated, but at great cost. First line of the fic. I tried to read further, but it was too much for my pitiful non-car brain. What? You don't believe me? Try this: All five TKR vehicles, Dante, Attack Beast, Plato, KAT, and Domino were heavily damaged, and it might take days to repair them. In the process Mobius, the team’s most dangerous adversary, and creator of the Legion of Doom, had succeeded in his master plan. He had broken into Skyone, TKR’s mobile HQ and stolen KITT, the heroic artificial intelligence from the glory days of FLAG. There. Told you so.


• a-ha! A fic in the "Very Bad No Good Day" tradition! I knew it.


• [Michael] had been on the road for six hours and although KITT was designed to afford him the up most comfort, the human body was not designed to stay in this sedentary position for so long.


• If KITT could have winced, he would have. His best friend and partner was dying inside him... You don't read that every day.


• There are a lot of fics which are centered around Michael getting out of KITT, getting his ass kicked, and then having to crawl back into KITT.


• "You're doing great, Michael," KITT encouraged. "Just a few centimetres more and I can use Ski Mode to tilt myself and get the rest of you inside." Boy, there are a lot of modes to know in this fandom.

• Mike had been tense the entire drive, but the AI hadn’t expected it when his driver suddenly slammed his fist down on the dashboard, causing it to come out of alignment. [KITT]: “You have lost your temper instantly. What is the problem?”


• Oh, wow, death!fic! I wasn't expecting that.


• "I am the Knight Industries 6000 A.” It spoke with a haughty female voice. “I am Kist." "Not by me, you're not." Kitt said.


• The house was one of many duplicate houses on the non- descript street in a small borough off the desert.


• "Well, when I was in the garage just now, I stroked his fender, he told me he could feel it. Not just awareness that something was touching his exterior, he said he liked the way it felt."

You know, a while back on theatrical_muse, there was someone who played Kitt. S/he was actually a pretty good writer, but it got a little weird when Kitt decided to get married... to Draco Malfoy. LOL, yes you read that right. I played Lucius over there, and one night the writers playing Kitt and Draco asked me to get involved in an RP where they tell Lucius of their future plans. He flipped out, naturally. We had a great time writing it, but the whole time I was giggling over how absurb the scenario was.

Actually, it is not, mostly because I have built a reputation as a hermit who usually takes a long time to answer email ;-) Seriously, I have had to take control of email, because its instantaneousness is absolutely overwhelming. Actually, this is from the line before it--Michael is shot in the chest and then has to go to the ER, but can't get back in KITT because he's too weak, so KITT wants him to get part of the way in so he can do a two-wheelie thing and that way he'll fall in and the door will shut. Theoretically. Realistically, I think Ski Mode would actually ensure Michael's death rather thoroughly.
