Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate!

This is a bit of a strange Thanksgiving for me--we're going to my grandmother's Assisted Living apartments to have lunch with her. I've just managed (as of last night) to convince my parents to come over for dinner tonight. It won't be traditional at all but it will be family. Sister is hosting the "real" Thanksgiving tomorrow.

I feel so low right now. I can't stop thinking of my poor friend. I can't imagine having to go through Thanksgiving today without her mom. I mean, my other grandmother died on Christmas Eve, so I do understand about having a difficult holiday, but still, this is so much worse in so many ways.

*hugs you all*

Happy thanksgiving! The family times are the hardest for remembering lost relatives. My parents usually cry at least once every christmas. It's usually my mother or ma aunt who bring it up mainly to taunt and torture every one else. I keep away from those holidays for a reason :-)

But best not think about it now. You still have your grandma, even if the turkey is microwaved, it's a family day *hugs*

Thank you for the wonderful comment. Yeah, this is a really difficult holiday for my friend.

I had a lovely day, thank you so much. It was very nice to spend so much time with my parents. I've missed them.
