1. Absolutely hands down: Han Solo. First crush ever. Even at the young age of six I was completely smitten with him. I came up with some crazy Mary Sue plot over the years between the three original movies so that I could "be" in the movies.

2. Starbuck from Battlestar Gallactica. Loved him tremendously. So fun, so full of life, yet brave when it counted.

3. Sonny Crockett/Sonny Burnett from Miami Vice. That was a really big one. Really, really big. I faithfully sat down every Friday night to watch MV and I loved it.

4. Somebody in Riptide.

5. Hawk from Airwolf. Loved Jan Michael Vincent in that show.

6. Flint from GI Joe. Both the comic version and the animated series. In the comic he was kind of a playah. In the show he was a bit more of a Duke/Hawk clone. Either way, I loved him.

7. Ardeth Bay, from the Mummy. What an incredible character he ended up morphing into. Er, not in the movies---in fanfiction and my head. The strong leader of the last of the Medjai, powerful, educated, and fierce, yet understanding.

8. D, from Vampire Hunter D. Strong, silent type, with tremendous powers and amazing poise.

9. Athos from the Disney live-action Three Musketeers (Kiefer Sutherland). Delicious dark past, tortured feelings...

10. David from the Lost Boys. Yep, Kiefer again.

11. Indiana Jones. Oh, that Harrison Ford. He corrupted me.

12. Faramir. Loved him in the book so much. Loved him even more in the movie.

13. Skywise from Elfquest. I wanted to count stars with him, oh yes.

14. One of the Gobots. I am not making this up. I can't even remember which one now.

15. Ziggy from the Playstation game Xenosaga, who was such a fascinating character. He once was human, but years of service as a soldier to his corporation has seen him become more of a cyborg than an organic. Awesome, awesome character.

16. I suddenly can't remember his name, but he was in Final Fantasy III, as the ruler of a small country, and he was blonde, and quite cheerful. Not my normal fixation, but still interesting.

17. Gilder from Skies of Arcadia. A rogue, a gunslinger, and a yummy hot guy.

18. Connor Macleod and Duncan Macleod from Highlander. Oh, delish. I especially loved Connor, with his smarty smarts from having lived so long and his enigmatic presence. Oh, and the Kurgan (sp). I think the actor was on Earth 2 as well, and he was great there.

19. Jamie Waring from the Black Swan. Oh, Tyrone Power, you are so tasty in that movie, running about without a shirt.

20. Captain Blood in, well, Captain Blood.

21. Robin Hood in the Adventures of Robin Hood. Gotta love that Errol Flynn. So zesty and light. Also loved the Showtime series with Michael something-or-rather...he was absolutely amazing to look at, and so angsty.

22. Arthur from Excalibur.

23. Slayn from Record of Lodoss War.

24. Adam Ant.

25. One of the Hazzard boys.

26. SEVERUS SNAPE. Brave, nasty, tortured, dark, angsty, sly, sarcastic, poetic...I'll stop now.

I just couldn't stop at five. Actually I could probably keep going, but I shouldn't.

God, you and I are related. I swear. I had Arthur on my list as well as han Solo... and so many of these would have made my list if I had more than 5 spots to fill (cheater!). I will say my first was Gomez Addams (as played by John Astin). I believe I was 8. But here are my comments:

Starbuck from Battlestar Gallactica. No contest - WAY sexier than Apollo.

Sonny Crockett/Sonny Burnett from Miami Vice. Hell yeah! If I wasn't home on Friday evening, I was so taping it to watch whenever I got up the next day. Gah - he was so hot.

Somebody in Riptide. - Oh!!! I loved that show. Was it Joe Penny or Perry King? Joe Penny was the darker one and Perry King was the prettier one but I had a long, drawn-out fantasy about Joe Penny being the leader of the Mafia and me being his girlfriend. Umm, and that said way too much about me at the age of 14.

David from the Lost Boys Jesus. I watched this the other night. The original Spike. Mullet included, he was soooo sexy. I had the movie poster of The Lost Boys in my room and would umm...enough said about that.

I suddenly can't remember his name, but he was in Final Fantasy III Edgar? He's adorable!!! With his little ponytail swinging when he walks. Still playing that, btw.

One of the Hazzard boys. Shameful to say, I liked Bo, the blond. I never like blonds...well, that's sort of a lie. I'm a sucker for peroxide blond vampires.

It was Perry King! a-ha! Thank you so much. I totally loved that show, but it irked me to no end with its "last week never happened" mentality. One of them would get a girl, and then the next week she would vanish. It really made me crazy.

Y'know, I can't remember which of the boys from Hazzard I liked, whether it was Bo or Luke. I think it might have been Luke. He just had this "competence" about him, like he could take care of ya reeeeeel good.

I forgot Gomez! and about a hundred other beautiful men, like...hmmm...there was one Dracula that really got to me, it was a movie in the eighties...Frank Langella? Perhaps.

Oh, I so cheated. I could never have put only five together.

Oh, and the character Brendan Fraser played in still breathing.

And Nic Cage's character in Moonstruck. His speech patterns were horrid, but the smoldering pure-sex in his looks was delicious.

I had this whole plot in Battlestar G with a hard-bitten Mary Sue who comes aboard and Starbuck falls in love with her.

Oh, and you know who I forgot to add? Wolverine. Yes, the comic book Wolverine, but he had to be drawn by Jay Lee or Andy Kubert or he's not "my" Wolverine. I started collecting comics rather young and only stopped a few years ago. I've got them all bagged, boarded and in water proof boxes in the garage. Thousands of dollars worth, I'm sure.

Oh, and Tom Selleck as Magnum PI. Only for a short time in the 6th grade though. I blame that on my mom - she was hot for him too.

I forgot to add the delicious Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the movies. Oh, he was the yum, though he actually turns me off in real life---he's only the yum in that role, honestly. At least for me.

I had a Tom Selleck crush too! He is one seriously good-looking man.

OMG, you totally watched more TV than I did as a youngster. I can only think of a few:

1. Greg Evigan (BJ of "BJ & The Bear"), who I also adored in "My Two Dads".
2. John Schneider (Bo Duke in "Dukes Of Hazzard") - who I still like to look at on "Smallville" now, though Tom Welling's cheekbones distract me a lot. Also, I wanted to *be* Daisy Duke.
3. most of the Thundercats. Cheetara, Liono, Wiley Kit & Kat... all of them, really. Except Snarf. :)
4. Gargamel on "The Smurfs". Who I now realize is really Severus Snape's younger stupider brother who got a worse book deal.

By the way - WELCOME HOME! Somehow, I've missed your last two posts in my flist. Hmmm...

A-ha!! I was thinking "Edward", but I didn't think that was quite right.

It was really difficult to remember because I changed all of their names in the game to something else, so all I could remember was the new name I gave him.

FFIII was the last game where I changed names. It just became too difficult when I would read hints or articles and I couldn't immediately make the connection between which character was which.

The Edgar dream was crazy. I owned a charter fishing company and we were in a terrible storm but we had to bring the boat in. I was shouting at him over the storm to go in but he insisted on helping me. He was absolutely beautiful. I actually wrote about 36 pages of a romance novel based on that dream.

Guh, and you know, I was just sitting here a few hours ago bemoaning the fact that I don't want to spend 8723948728934723947 hours playing the game again, but I'd love to be able to watch/read it, to re-acquaint myself with the characters and get back into some of those damned unfinished fics of mine.

... Crazy dreams can be fun. Even more so when they spawn stories. <3

That would be lovely, wouldn't it? To sit and watch it like a movie...wow.

I wonder if anyone has done that...made a video of all the salient plot points and cutscenes...

Some of those older RPGs just took so long to get through...four hundred fights with some wolflike thing to raise yourself two levels...ugh. Nowadays they seem to give you a better balance...when I was playing Xenosaga a year or so ago I noticed how user-friendly it was. You didn't have to spend ages fighting random monsters to continue to the next portion of the plot.

It'd be absolutely wonderful if they had. Just... something. So I can remember the world and the characters properly. I don't have this problem with FF8... those characters are far more "formed" in my head.

*nodsnods* Exactly, with the levels. Levelling up is nice, and necessary, but when you've got to spend nine hours running around in fields, it loses its appeal.

The very worst game ever for levelling up has to be Phantasy Star for the Sega Master System. Days and days spent accumulating money for the blasted hovercraft. Then all over again for the landrover. And I literally mean days.

I was a name changer too. Locke was "Gambit" because he was a thief. I kept Sage, Setzer (swoon) and Sabin. What was it about the s's?

I so loved Gambit. Setzer and Locke were awesome too.

Usually I changed the names to names of characters in the fantasy novel I was writing. It was so much fun, but then later when I really began to use the hint guides to get myself through it just caused so much confusion.
