The new chapter took awhile. I don't know why, but I just couldn't get Severus's voice to work. He has to be snarky, of course, but also smart, and cold, yet I have to somehow convey that he's growing more interested in Sarah...this writing business is tough.

I still want to become a writer, though.

Severus is so much fun, honestly, even though he is a challenge to keep in character. I really will miss this story when I'm finished writing it. I would like to write a few one-shots when I'm done. Trying to think of something interesting that would make a good ficlet.

Was reading some LJ entry and someone came up with the concept that there are two kinds of fanfic writers...those who write for fun, and those who write for practice. I definitely am writing for practice. I want to see if I can sustain a narrative and produce a cohesive piece of work.

Small world, huh? Even though there is so much Snapefic out there, I find that I've read a good portion of the "mature" ones.

It's rather odd that I found your fic and actually read a great deal of it (I'm on chapter 5 right now and still skimming because I remember what's happening). I'm really more into slash, but I'll read gen or het if they are well written and have a good plot.

It's quite funny. I asked someone recently for recs and I had already read what they rec'd. The internet is so unique...you can converse with people in Australia, and then it turns out that the person who just left a review lives in the same town as you. I love that.
