I had both four prong power supplies necessary!
I am no longer squinting through Pepto-Bismol to see the screen.
(I did, however, move the audio card to give the video card more space, as was suggested by someone online. These Gen 2 computers are dust hogs, and it helps to give the fan a little more room, apparently. However, now I have to get the sound to work again. Let's hope a quick driver reinstall will fix it...)

Date: 2009-07-12 12:50 am (UTC)I really don't know what I'm doing, though--I just kind of follow along. And of course I've screwed up the audio card again. It'll take hours to get it to work. Damned Audigy cards. :(
At least I can see what I'm doing--MUCH more important than hearing.
