The to-do list never really diminishes

I keep doing the things I want to do, of course. But the stuff I don't want to do gets shunted to the side. heh.
I'm still working on another huge set of listings for eBay. Well, huge for me. I'm going to be stocking my eBay store with a bunch of new pieces, and because these are all new listings, they take three times as long as old listings because I have to proofread, proofread, proofread. Any error will mean I have to refund purchase prices. Which is not a good thing.
In oh wow news, I have now broken 60k on the Giant Scary Riptide Fic. I write it in one long Word file and then cut and paste LJ-entry-sized sections in Semagic. I'm in the middle of section nine. I've just glanced at my notes, and after I finish this section, I have only two left. In some ways, I'll be really sad to finish writing this fic, because it's been an exhilarating ride. In other ways, though, I really really really will be ecstatic to get to the end because I so badly want to share it! I'm still kind of scared that it's going to take nearly two weeks to post it all, though. Wow.
Today should be interesting. I need to get outside and fill in the front flower bed with more dirt, and I want to post those listings today, and I want to start working on more Etsy listings. I hope I'm motivated enough for all of it.
I also want to watch the next Vice ep. I just watched the "Hurricane" ep last night, the one where Crockett marries Sheena Easton, and I was shocked when she was still breathing at the end of the ep. So she must hang on through the next ep. Maybe she gets killed early in the ep so that we can watch Crockett wallow in misery for forty-four minutes. He is pretty good at wallowing, though, I have to admit. I wouldn't turn it off.

I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and post pieces every day. Otherwise it will take a whole month, and jeepers, that's just too much time.
The thing is, I'm really nervous about the reception of this fic--I've put SO much time into writing it, way more than any other fic by far, and it's just so weird and kind of dark, and I'm already cringing over the people who won't read past part one. grah.
On one hand, it has some light-hearted scenes; on the other, it has a few moments that might make the faint-of-heart uncomfortable. And it just goes on and on and on. I love writing it, and I'm really enjoying reading it, but it's so keyed into my own peculiar stripped down writing style that I don't even know if it's entertaining.
Then again, the one person who is reading it besides me has said some nice things, so hopefully this will be well-received by others, too.

PS: Your Bloom County strips are always some of my absolute faves--you and I must have been addicted to it at the same time.
"Check again, Mr. Dallas, are you sure that you're breathing?"
