I scheduled myself to work today, even though it was my birthday. Not sure why, but I did. And now that I'm home, I see so many sweet, kind words! A special thank you to bronze_ribbons, who wrote me a hilarious and slightly naughty birthday limerick, and to tjwritter, who sent me a LJ v-gift which turned out to be AN OCTOPUS WITH A BOUQUET OMG!!! (Fine, it's Cthulu, but it still counts as an octopus in my book!)

An enormous thank you to the wonder that is catyah, who made made me a Riptide vid that is absolutely awesome (go watch! It's a yousendit link), to the awesome that is little_tristan, who wrote me a fic that I am saving for tomorrow, and the extreme cool of oddmonster who wrote me fic which I am saving for tomorrow, to the fantasmic speak_me_fair for the wonderful gift of graphics (Nick-themed, yes!), and to the amazing happy that is tinx_r, who wrote me an absolutely lovely fic which I have devoured. Um. Four times already. Yes.

I am sitting here with yummy leftovers (and even yummier leftover bread) and chai, and glowing, thinking about how lucky I am to have all of you, my sweet flisters. Thank you so much for all of the kind words and support over the years! You all rock so much. *huge hugs*

Ohmygoodness, I almost missed your birthday! I didn't log into Semagic today and that's where all my birthday notifications come from, so I'm so glad you posted this! I adore chai! I usually drink Oregon's Kashmir (green tea w/vanilla) or their Rooibos decaf chai. When the grocery store runs out I get antsy!

I drank Oregon spicy chai until just recently when they discontinued the flavor (pout) so now it's Slightly sweet Original flavor. I do get antsy when I haven't had my chai.

I got this particular mug (numerous pictures of Starsky and Hutch nearly kissing) at a con, but I have another one that I got from Media mugs, I do not have a link, but I think you could google it. They will put a picture from just about any series on a mug, and Starsky and Hutch are one of their regulars.

I love Oregon chai so much--I'm always worried that they're going to stop carrying it. So many of the places I used to get it have--only one chain still carries it here.

I've looked at the website, but a) it's much more expensive than the grocery store, and b) the shipping would be outrageous, I'm certain. So I'm very much hoping I can still get it, even if the chain stops carrying it.

I'm with you--I totally get antsy as well!

And re: the mug--now I get it. I was wondering if it was a vintage item, but this totally makes sense and sounds adorable!

I do now buy from the website, in bulk, usually six or eight boxes (I buy the powdered) at a time, since I cannot find the powdered anywhere anymore. They quite frequently have sales and the price is quite good, imo.

I'm lazy and prefer the liquid form, because I drink it cold and it goes well with soy milk. ;) The cartons are about $4.29 at my local store, and they occasionally go down to $3.29 when on sale, and on the website they are listed as $5.49 each. Not counting shipping. :(
