Pond pics, and grateful me

I just want to say thank you to everyone who offered birthday wishes--wow, do I feel loved! You guys are awesome.

So. I've been thinking about a teensy photo project that will take advantage of my natural tendencies for slothiness, and it involves taking pictures of the pond throughout the seasons. See, I can lean out the window to do this. Great, right? Here are a couple images.



This one isn't the same angle--it's to the right of the first one. But it was the prettiest sunrise I've seen in a while.

Why, yes it is a swing! Only we rarely sit on it--too many mosquitoes, unfortunately. :(

These are so lovely! And I'm glad I'm not the only person who does this. If you're taking requests, I'd love to see what your thunderstorms look like. They're like sunsets, the way they're slightly different around the country.

I keep thinking about just taking pics of the pond through all the seasons...I think it would be a fun project, you know?

I can try to take a pic of a thunderstorm...I'm not certain they would come out, as the thunderstorms tend to roll in from the other side, I think. But that's definitely a great idea!

It's a sweet little pond! Fish in it and everything. :) My friend, who is a city dweller, visited me and said, "No, this is a small lake!" hee!!

*sigh* you are so damn lucky to have such a beautiful pond in your backyard. If it were me (and we didn't have dogs), I'd put up a bat house in one or two of the trees back there to cut down on the mosquitos and be able to take advantage of that swing by the pond.
