subject line not forthcoming

I am sitting here, looking at a few unexpected Etsy/eBay orders. I've had a strange flurry of emails from customers in the last few days--everybody wants multiple things or something I used to sell or some other festive variation. Nice, even though it's a teensy bit annoying. But I probably shouldn't complain about getting business.

I am feeling a little grumpy. Just a little. I'm kind of in between fic right now, and I really need to finish a birthday present fic I started writing a while ago. I like writing, and I can't wait to write this, and I'm actually a happier person while I'm writing. And once I'm done with this, my "slate" will be clean. I might have to start something original. We'll see.

Grumpy, though. Just a little. I don't know if it's because I'm not writing something this very minute or whatever. Or because winter is coming.

Strangely, I can't stop thinking about Wavedancer. I thought that blathering about it would get it out of my system. Somehow it keeps sneaking up on the edge of my consciousness, insisting that there is still a viable story in there somewhere.

Right now I have that panicked feeling of What Should I Be Doing Right Now. That's the sucky part about having your own business, even one as small as mine; there are a million things on the to-do list, but it's hard to isolate which one I should be working on for the next hour. I will just have to guess, as always.

Am watching Simon & Simon. Rick is dressed a little like Indiana Jones. Leather jacket and hat. Strange.

I know. The making decisions and setting priorities can be the hardest part, in particular when you're feeling creative and want to write and there isn't enough time.

You *so* get what I'm saying, I know it. I've gotten to the point where if I don't feel I've "done" enough for my business that day I get kind of upset. Even though I've already worked at my day job for 8 hours. lol!
