For your reading pleasure, I have just deleted my original text for this entry, which was entirely about my crappy sleep patterns for the last week and a half, my headaches from needing a new pair of prescription glasses, and whining about matters I can't/shouldn't publicly whine about.

Instead, I will have my one contented thought for the day, which is that I have somehow hit 30k on the new fic, in spite of crappy sleep patterns, headaches, and whining.

I am beginning to hope that I might possibly have the ability to continually string words together as an occupation. Sadly enough, having this ability will do very little, as that sort of thing is nearly completely up to outside forces, but it's weirdly comforting somehow.

I think I'm averaging 1000 to 2000 words per day. Except for that week where I was horrendously busy and put in very long hours.

Maybe because possible is, just by definition, more comforting than impossible?

This morning, while reading the flist and catching up on eBay and chatting with little_tristan, I somehow managed to get another 1800 words out. Dude. I am so loving this. I hope it lasts!
