valis2I couldn't explain part of why I've been so stressed this week, but I can finally come out and say it: I was planning a surprise birthday party for my sister at my house.
It all went down today, and it worked out nearly perfectly. She had no clue!
We have these sliding pocket doors that lead into the living room, and all of the guests piled into the living room and then we closed the doors. I said to one of her best friends that the first thing Sister would say when she came in is, "Why are the doors closed?" So then I'd tell her to open them and everybody could yell surprise.
Sadly, Sister's hands were full when she came in, so there was a bit of craziness while we casually tried to get her to open the doors, and finally my dad had to yell at her to do it, which pissed her off and made it even more of a surprise when everybody yelled and blew their surprise horns. Sister nearly passed out from the shock!
Then we had ice cream cake from Cold Stone, and after the guests left we had dinner from the pizza place down the road, and we watched Sherlock Holmes. Very nice. But now I'm sooo tired and I still have eBay stuff to do.
I want to write, but I don't think I have the brain power right now. Tomorrow we have to attend an Easter brunch, and then see the parental units off, and then we have all afternoon and evening, but I will be working on eBay auctions and stuff. I'll try to make time in between those to write. I WANT TO WRITE. I'm dying to string words together. I'm dying to reread the giant fic, too. I love rereading after an absence; odd phrasings poke their heads up and plot holes appear, and then I can take care of them.
Plus I have that new story that I want to type out. It's handwritten (nearly illegibly) and I want to polish it and fix it and make it sparkle the way I know it can.
