I stopped at the optometrist's office this afternoon and they put in their third attempt at a right lens.

I am still getting double vision from it (though only when my eye is open fully; if I squint it's fine).

Time for the ophthalmologist. Turns out that the ophthalmalogist who saw me when I was thirteen (and again several times later) is still practising. I recall his bedside manner being lacking but I don't care at this point. I tried making an appointment but the office was closed, so hopefully this week I can get ahold of his staff and get an appointment. I can't take this. The headaches have diminished, but only because I'm constantly squinting with my right eye.

Good GODS. I'm sorry. >.< At this point the optometrist really should be doing a complete eye exam over again and starting from scratch.

I hope the ophthalmologist figures the mess out.

I have nearly given up hope, seriously. But I'll try the ophthal and see what he has to say. ;)

You might need to use regular, old plastic lenses. I can't use any of the newer, fancy lens materials.

That really sucks. I totally hope that the ophthalmologist can figure this out, honestly.

if this is contacts, you might want to give. I am extremely frustrated with them. I will stick to glasses, vanity be damned. I want to see.

Oh no, I've never worn contacts. I have very dry eyes, and I have astigmatisms in both eyes, so I've never bothered.

Same here! Today's the day for the ophthalmologist appointment, so I'll have more news later on. ;)
