So. I have no idea how I managed without a laptop for so long. It is, quite possibly, one of the coolest things ever.

I have tapped into the wireless router here at my friends' house, and I've been keeping up with Etsy & eBay, and rereading the giant fic for the eleventieth time, and, even better, I've revised all of my website listings. Today I also went through all of them and tagged them, too. I love how simple and effective this WordPress ShopperPress extension is. It's pretty awesome and I'm really excited to get it all together. I even think I can launch it before October, which rocks because I have three shows in early October, and it would be great if it were in place before that.

I just need to work out a privacy policy and iron out the shipping wrinkles. *nodnod*

I've been missing you, flist. I'm a little leery of browsing it while here; I'm using someone else's connection, after all. I should be able to catch up when I get home, though.

I'm just stunned at how easy it is to play on the computer...anywhere. Though the novelty cannot compare to having my big computer Battle Station, of course.

In other news, I've played so much Battleship that I'm surprised I'm not dreaming of grids. lol.

I also can't believe how fast this has gone by! I'll be home late Friday, after all. squee!

I've never had one before--never even really wanted one, honestly, except at odd moments. But this? Is awesome. Instead of stealing a scant 15 minutes here and there, I'm actually able to relax and read and check my email and do all sorts of great stuff!

And I will be certain to check that out when I get home. *is intrigued*

nods, I would find it really strange to not have a laptop- in bed, in front of the fire etc.
glad you are keeping up with your sites.

I've never been one to do anything in bed but sleep. I've never done the TV thing, even. Too uncomfortable for some reason. And I've been doing the laptop thing at the table, and in the recliner here. The bed was too uncomfortable.

It's just so nice to be in my Alternate Life and have the use of a computer! I'm enjoying this immensely.

I found this computer laptop desk- absolutely brilliant-light, good wrist support, balances easily on my lap.

Actually, the uncomfortableness for me is in actually trying to do anything in bed. My back hurts. Even if I stack up multiple cushions, I just can't ever seem to get comfortable. Aside from sleeping and...um...the other thing, I never ever am in bed. Strange, eh?

Though maybe that desk would be good for the couch. I'll have to check it out. Thanks!!

I bought a laptop earlier this year and I too have no idea how I managed without one before. And I'm not even running a business like you, just mucking around in front of the TV. :-)

I never realized how much this would change things! It's fantastic to be able to show the boys old Gumby shorts in between checking listings and writing new descriptions of products. Love love love.

My main computer has been a laptop for the last decade. It felt strange to finally get a desktop last year.

Wow, seriously? I can't even imagine. Mostly because I have little need of a laptop on a usual basis; I don't like to use the computer anywhere at home except my office.

Then again, I might change my habits, now that I've been unleashed! lol. (Sadly, though, this is a very low-powered computer. Still, it's all I need in laptop; it has Windows, Word and the internet, the only things I really need.)

Mine needed to travel back and forth to work regularly back in 2000 so I got very used to a laptop as my main computer. I bought an iMac which now serves as my HD TV as well as a pretty nifty computer...

Ah, that makes so much sense.

I just need to remember to pick up an HDMI cable for my new computer, so I can watch HD stuff. And a mouse for the laptop. This touchpad thing is annoying. :)

I heart laptops. I'm not a laptop-in-bed kind of person (can't get comfortable for long) but I do have a glorious little tray-table that pulls in against the sofa and works nicely. Also, it helps when I get restless and don't want to be staring at the same patch of studio wall that's behind the desktop.

My laptop's a hybrid (too big to be a netbook and too small to be a standard laptop) and it's been glorious for me.

YAY for being home. <3

This has been so convenient! I love being able to keep such a close eye on my eBay stuff. And I love that I can answer email so easily. This is so awesome.

Only thing is--it's not a very good laptop. lol. I'm already having issues with the screen flickering. wah!

Good thing I still have Battle Station at home. hee!
