I was doing something at work today with lists of names and noticed the name "Oberdorf".

Where did my goofy brain go?

One Dorf to rule them all and in the darkness bind them...

I am such a geek.

That is quite a jump. I do something similar, where whenever I try to type 'snap', it always comes out as 'snape'.

She stepped on the twig and heard it snape.

I'll snape your scrawny little neck.

It fills me with green and silver house pride, every time, of course. :)

Heh...it amuses me too! Though Jeremy Brett who played Holmes...was definately lickable.

But hey, I find super intelligent, aloofly English men sexy...

I have "Jeremy Brett Holmes" written down here to remind me to rent it.

I guess I'll have to get it on DVD. :(

Jeremy Breet IS Sherlock Holmes to me. I've managed to get The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and The Return of Sherlock Holmes on dvd. Still working on the other seasons but I think they are available, too.

Yup! They are all available and at Amazon.com (though I did get many at Best Buy)...I recommend just getting the whole sets and not individual episodes...saves money and trust me, once you start...you won't want to stop.

Especially after Final Problem...sniff...

Oh, so very, very, very, very true. He was teh hott in all that period clothing and, just, wow.

I have the entire Granada series on DVD and it's getting a lot of re-watchings; now, whenever I think of Holmes, it's his face I keep seeing. The production on the series was fantastic, for once there was no bumbling!Watson stereotype, and Brett simply PWNED the Holmes character -- all the little twitches and quirks and his misanthropic nature and general irritability.

I have so much love for that series, flaws and all. *huggles DVDs*

Me too! Love all my DVDs...he's so yum...and he WAS Holmes to a T...

I loved Edward Hardwicke as Watson rather than Burke (not that I didn't like him too...he was just way to bubbly...though for Adventures...Watson rather was, wasn't he).

Seen you on the 221b community page! Very cool to know there is a HP and SH fan out there too!

BTW...(yes, a gratuitous plug)...if you are interested, me and my snazzy co-writer have posted a Sherlock Holmes mystery over at Chaos. I hear you write Holmes/Watson? When I posted, was told it was about time Holmes got some fic...(hint...hint)

We need more Holmes...and SHex's Chaos needs more traffic...

Right...end of plug...back to drool at my Holmes (Brett) pics...

Yup...very lickable...

Thanks for the laffs

One dorf to rule them all? Discussing pfaffen plans ober coffee?

I laughed very hard, I tell you.

Where was it that I read someone discussing Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn using the term "Lord of the Schwing"? (How do you spell that?) Not that I don't appreciate Aragorn, but he's always struck me as being badly in need of a bath. There would be no shortage of fangirl volunteers for that job, I think.

In the beginning I was thinking rather naughty thoughts about Aragorn, but then he just looked too...unwashed, as you say, and he was supplanted by Legolas, and then, by Faramir, who, ultimately, was my fave, and still is.

How's that for a long and complicated sentence? heh.

Still working on a little guide for LJ. I will be gone over the weekend so it will probably go up Monday.
