So confused.

I'm all screwed up about which day of the week it is. I was supposed to post the pond pics on Sat and the Sue on Sun, but clearly I did that wrong. Not that it really matters, honestly, but now here is Sunday and I have nothing but a boring, random entry for y'all.
I have more LJ entries planned, but none together at the moment. The one about older fandoms (seventies/eighties shows) is still in the amorphous stage. I have at least two, maybe three pond pics entries that will take us into snow. I have five or six last Sue entries. No badfic, sadly, as I haven't read any in ages.
I've been writing today and yesterday, though! I've gotten through a few more plot points in the big fic and moved incrementally closer to the end. omg, so exciting. If this continues, I will definitely be able to post this puppy in January. SQUEE.
My aircard said, "¡No más!" and shot itself across the room. Well, part of it, anyway. Turns out that the battery inflated like a pufferfish. Husband proved that he Rocks Utterly by going out and getting me a new battery. Why did I not just get a new aircard? Well, the deal I have with Sprint is a contract that gives me unlimited access. I signed up for it three years ago. I have a feeling that if I change aircards it will no longer apply. I mean, maybe it'll be fine, but I just have this weird feeling that they'll try anything to get me out of that contract. Yes, I am paranoid. Anyway, it was slightly cheaper just to get a new battery so that's what we did.
FIL is coming over to bake cookies in another hour. I'm geeked. It's one of the few holiday traditions we have, and it's a fun one. We both team up to annoy Husband. Poor thing! It really is a good time, though. We put on Christmas music, we laugh a lot and cookies are baked. Some of them don't make it out of the kitchen, naturally. The cookies, that is.
I have more holiday spirit this year than I have in ages. I really am going to try very hard not to end up frantically crafting gifts at the last second and making myself mental. I'm going to try to work on some tonight.
Well, this entry went nowhere and fast. *hugs flist*
ETA: Forgot to mention that I saw Tron and really really liked it. It hit the nostalgia button like whoa.

I have about the same level of holiday spirit as I have every year. Namely very little. It's one of the most depressing times of the year for me and I'm always glad when it's over. I think it's mostly due to the total lack of sunshine during this part of the year.

Aw, I'm so sorry. Usually I am unaffected by the low light; I prefer grey days, honestly. However, the relentless cold does begin to eat at me, and by the end of winter I'm pretty happy to see spring. :)
