I can't believe that I have almost read the whole flist! I'm at skip?=120!

Have you ever wanted to write your LJ entries in the style of another LJer? I find that 90% of the time I have to stop myself from trying to write my journal as if I was [livejournal.com profile] jekesta. Sadly, I could not manage it, I think. She is brilliant.

I'm going to try to work tomorrow. I hope that is not a decision I will regret.

Apparently a huge snowstorm is heading this way. It's supposed to really hit us on Tuesday. Schools might close. Oh dear.

I have grown far too fond of my phone. I love watching Twitter on it. I am actually using it to keep track of my Yahoo accounts completely because it's a pain to do it on my laptop. I knew that a smartphone would be an awesome toy for me.

I scraped the bumper of my friend's SUV. grrr.

I find the style of my private journalling at 750words.com varies depending on who and what I've been reading. On the days that it isn't a hopeless mismash of unrelated thoughts, at least. I've not really noticed a whole lot of difference in my LJ, but I rewrite those entries, even the piddling ones, so many times that any influence is likely stripped away.

Oh yes, I often end up incorporating styles into my own. Every time I reread Babbitt, I end up with my brain sounding like Sinclair Lewis for days.

You rewrite your LJ entries? Really? I always reread them to make sure they make sense, and I usually have to add a word or two because I've left something out, but I usually don't rewrite them. Interesting!

I rewrite and/or rephrase pretty much everything, honestly. By nature my syntax is rather eccentric; if I didn't rephrase it would be like what happens when I speak. I often have to explain things twice--it always comes out jumbled the first time, then I have to think about how to make it more logical the second time around. Gah. It's a nightmare, really. I understand things very keenly, but I don't think in words, at all. I think in abstracts and in images, to the point where I often literally cannot explain myself, or even a procedure, in words.

... And yes, I did it to this comment, too.

I have unusual speech patterns, too. One of my betas once asked if I was ESL because of the way I group words together. I really commiserate. And I sometimes put things together in really abstract ways, like you're saying, and I absolutely cannot communicate it to anyone for love or money, seriously. *giant hugs*
