Leaving & a couple random thoughts.
May. 11th, 2005 08:17 amI'm leaving for my parents' place in just a couple of minutes, and will be back Saturday night.
I promised to teach a teeny class to my mom's friends; hope it goes smoothly. I also have a few appointments. I've way overbooked myself, honestly. I am so worn out that on Sunday I will most likely be dead to the world.
I was refreshing the friends page and noticed an unusual icon. I was thinking...is that Padma? And then I realized that it was actually an icon of the user herself. The HP fandom is so thoroughly entrenched in fandom icons that I rarely see anyone use a pic of themselves, which in other LJ communities is nearly standard.
When I was driving the other day through IN I saw signs for the James Dean museum, the Mid-America Windmill museum (which seems to imply that there is more than one), and the Vice Presidential museum. I can just imagine the poor kids who live in that area and are tortured with field trips to these locations.
I will miss you, happy flist, but I'll be back soon enough. See you soon!
