Ambidextrous Love

Severus finished packing. Ever since valis, his own true love, had been lost at sea, Severus had been sheepish.

There was nothing left for him anymore, nothing cuddled him, all was quixotic. So today, Valentine's Day, he was going in a messy closet to become an illicit root beer.

Just then, there was a rugged knock at the door. Severus opened it and stood there haltingly for a moment, before falling to the floor in a swoon and bruising his hand.

When Severus came to, valis was holding his eye and looking lugubrious. "My love," valis said demurely, "I'm sorry for the sorcerous shock. I've been shipwrecked on a moth-eaten island for the last ten years, living like an onion in the wilds of Africa. I was only rescued last week." She paused. "I lost my ear in the wreck. Can you still love me?"

Severus could hardly believe his valis had returned. "I will always love you, ear or no ear. Besides, you can cover it up with a cheese."

They embraced dramatically and vowed to never be parted again.

And all was fiesty.

Blame it on [livejournal.com profile] cactus_wren.

It's really funny how the "onion in the wilds of Africa" line worked itself in so perfectly!

You can find the site here.

We should make a theme song for Cheese, Mighty Cheese, Slayer of the Dragon with Ten Golden Horns, etc.

It's also really funny that I followed the link before reading it, but still used 'lugubrious.' One of those words, I guess.

I feel for Severus, I do. Often I have felt life would be better if I threw in the towel and became a non-alcoholic beverage.

Wasn't it, though? I love how some words just naturally fit, too.

So...that's why you changed your name. I used to love mad-libs. They are a good teaching tool, for teaching the parts of speech.
