I finished the Fic of Dhûm, but it still has to be beta'ed. I'm very much hoping that mariannelee will be able to beta it tonight, though I haven't seen her online. I should be dancing on the countertops because I think it turned out decently, but instead I'm just so angry.

On the RL front, my oldest friend called me, and it turns out she has just been terribly hurt emotionally. I am two thousand miles away, and it's so tremendously frustrating, because I just want to be there for her, and I'm not.

*growls and wants to throw things*

I had this weird, horrible feeling years ago, and it's come to pass. I'm so upset about this, and it's absolutely a drop in the bucket compared to how she is feeling right now. I'm just so worried and freaking out.

The morning is wiser than the evening. I have to get to bed. I hope I can get to sleep...

Sorry about your friend. I know how frustrating it can be when someone close to you has been hurt and you can't do very much to help them, no matter how badly you want to. Hope everything turns out okay.

I hope your friend will be okay. That kind of situation is awful, when you want to help out but are simply too far away.

It stays private until December, when it will be part of the gift exchange. Names won't be revealed until January, so I have to stay mum! ;)

Argh! *hugs* So sorry to hear about your friend. It's awful to suspect badness could happen and not be able to really do anything about it, and then when it all does hit the fan... :-( It's also frustrating to be too far away to be able to do anything, even if that would only be to show up with chocolate ice cream and a big hug.

I hope she'll be all right, and that you'll feel better in the morning.
