Am reading a really, really, really atrocious fic. So atrocious that I cannot, in good conscience, supply a link, because I would then have to contribute to your therapy bills.

I can't stop reading it, either.

It just has that...verve that awful Suethors sometimes display. They run all over the map, cramming so much into the fic, but there's just this raw...energy...or something...and I keep reading. Well, that, and it's a terrific exercise in How Not To Write. It's also fun to imagine how you would edit each sentence and rephrase whole paragraphs.

There really is something wrong with me. I've gone through 86 chapters already.

You know, Gina, that if I can provoke her into sharing that link, it will turn out that this is someone who signed up for Smutmas. And already has 93 chapters written out of the 213 she has outlined for her contribution.

Hope you have some bandwidth on that server you're using for the longer stories. Just saying.

Heh, I'm actually guessing it's one of the Harry/Lucius badfic epics that were posted on Beloved Enemies. We've had two or three fics that ran close to 100 chapters of pure shit.

It's actually Harry/Snape. And it's so awful it made me wince during sex scenes, which is pretty difficult to do.

Just scanning the chapter list and summary, I can tell that this one is a classic, too. And in *coughs* a pairing that I like a lot, if you know what I mean. Valis is on chapter 86, and I can tell you that she still has a ways to go.

*rubs hands* God, badfic is a pleasure all its own. This one may inspire me to new meta, I can tell.

Oh, thank goodness. I would just cringe if she really were writing a smutmas fic, because smutmas is such a great exchange.

Normally I like the naughty bits, but these made me want to retch. I'm not certain why, but it's all so...awful, and...well...blech.
