My first not-happy feedback on Etsy.
A customer bought two items on 10-24. Never sent money by Paypal. I've received no communication whatsoever from them. Now, 90% of people who buy items and don't pay immediately end up paying within a month. The other 10% don't pay ever, or pay after a month has gone buy.
So usually I don't even bother to email. I don't like to drive people crazy about their purchases. On eBay, this is a good thing, because people are usually watching the next set of auctions, or checking what's in my store. I should have known that this is not really the same thing on Etsy. They have that cart system, which is a little different.
Anyway, I received neutral, misspelled feedback today from the customer saying they have not received the merchandise. To which I replied in a convo that I had not received payment, so of course I have not shipped the items.
Now, the customer might have sent a money order, and since I haven't checked the mailbox in a week, it might be sitting there. But I would be surprised.
I think I'm pissed off because the customer didn't bother to convo me first and find out what's going on. Instead, there's this preemptive strike which makes me furious, because now they're holding me over a barrel. I admit to some fault in not sending a convo to find out what was happening, but still, the convo system works both ways.
grah.
ETA: Husband checked the PO box on the way home. Nothing. So yeah. I have definitely not received payment. *fumes* And no answer yet. I sent them another email earlier, in fact.
ETA: Aaaaaaand I've just received a payment from her. No apology. No note. Nothing.
And guess what? She's left neutral feedback all over the place for a ton of other sellers, including someone who had 1000+ positive feedback and not a single neutral before their transaction with her. Class act, this one.
