Today I wish I could draw
Apr. 15th, 2005 03:47 pmI am completely obsessed with how lovely a fanvid I could make from Depeche Mode's "Never Let Me Down Again". If only I had fifteen-twenty fabulous highly-detailed ink drawings in the exact specifications I need so that zooming and motion during the songvid would look lovely I would make a beauteous fanvid. I have it all mapped out in my head and I think it would be fabulous.
But, when it comes down to drawing/writing, I'm still happy to be a writer, I think. Drawing has an immediancy to it that gets right to the audience and translates a thousand words into a visual; writing has its own special merits.
Still, at this moment I wish I could draw, just so I could indulge in creating this little fanvid.

(can't remember now, but they were pics you did at school, weren't they?), I'm sure you could make a great job of a pic now! I couldn't do anything even half as good as the floating cats, even now! And at school...forget it! I was good at all the academic stuff, but my marks for things like art, sport, any practical stuff were laughable!!
But I know what you mean about capturing images on paper!
