02. I will then tell what song/movie remind me of you.
04. I will try to use a word or phrase that best describes you.
05. I'll tell you the most memorable interchange I've had with you.
06. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
07. I'll then tell you something that I've always wondered about you.
A bit modified, but there you go. Stolen from

Date: 2005-05-30 04:14 am (UTC)In 1990, when I logged on to a local BBS for the first time, I had to decide on a handle. I thought about it, and at the time I was working at a video game store, and the Japanese character Valis actually had more video game titles than Mario at that moment (rather impressive). I liked the games, liked the character, so I used that name.
In 1991 I found out that it also was the name of a Phillip K Dick novel. It stands for Vast Artificial Life Intelligence System.
I thought, perfect. It's brainy and shallow at the same time! So when I started an email account in 2000, I just went ahead and used the name again. Ditto for LJ last year. Though I really had to think about it for LJ. After all, your handle on LJ is much more important because it's a name for you within a community, and people see it and have to remember it. In the end, though, I just couldn't come up with anything. Later I realized I should have done some sort of name with crow in it, because I love crows, but oh well. Honestly, I'm now so entrenched in valis that it just works.
Valis was taken, but valis2 was not, which is fine, because at that point I was already valis2 at fiction alley. So there! A nice, long-winded explanation. hee!
The bird is adorable.

That's the thing about 'cactus wren', and why I'm not sure I should have chosen it. 'Valis' is different, and easy to remember, kind of sophisticated or something; zakkati is odd but easy to remember as it's a 'z' name; 'charlie'smum' easy to remember, because of the adorable Charlie that goes with it; luvboromir24601 - the name is easy, the numbers it took me awhile to remember; you get the idea. Cactus wren is like 'what the hell is a cactus wren?' Unless you live in Arizona, where it's the state bird, or you're one of those birdwatching people. Ah well, I'm stuck with it now, I guess.

I still can't remember the numbers for luvboromir! I always have to look it up, or use Semagic to remember it for me.
