This is Pita, or, as I ended up calling her, Peach. She was my cat completely. Followed me around everywhere. Jumped up on the counter to say hello (sometimes into the bowl of soup I was eating). Would steal earrings and shiny things. Loved to sleep under the covers. Was dumb as a box of rocks, but sweet as the day is long.

Now this was my baby. His original name was Midnight, which lasted all of twelve hours. He was Kitty Meowsey for a very long time, and then he became Little Moo, which was really his name, I think. He lived to be nearly twenty-two. I love the gleam in his eye here. He was mostly dignified, quite certain in his place in this world, full of talk. He had such a wonderful voice, and could be very sweet when he wanted to. I loved him so very much. Still miss him tremendously.

Oh yes, I should have mentioned that it is entirely cruel to take an outdoor can and force them to be an indoor cat. I am just of the opinion that if a cat is to be a domestic, indoor pet, then I think they should start their lives indoors and stay that way until the end. So many dangers outside.

It's a big enough place for a cat, oh yes, but I just don't have a good place for a litterbox. :(

What would a good place look like? It sounds like you need some extra place for it.

I imagine it would better have tiles than carpet, because cats like to scratch in the box. From what I know of cat people, most of them share their bathroom with the cat's litterbox. In my place, the bathroom is really tiny; it would be very difficult to squeeze a litterbox in.

I'd want a basement or utility room or someplace out of the way. Tile floor/linoleum is a must. :)

It's true, ours have always lived inside. Nevertheless Midnight sits on the windowsill each day and howls at the birds on the roof next door. I am thoroughly glad they are indoor cats right now with the bird flu around.
And with the Omega litter box and the litter locker it is not problem to have that on a halfway acceptabl esurface. (No, I am not getting a provision ;-)
